Social interactions and emotions

Does this mean social cues outweigh cognitive cues and the infant values the perspective of the caregiver over her own?  It appears to me the baby is hesitant indicating some statistical knowledge of the dangers of the visual cliff, but ignores this when mom gives a positive response.

A Quick Glimpse

Ashleigh Washington
The study of BABY HUMANS is my passion. I'm inspired by their desire to seek learning, their developmental process and their resilient capabilities. I received my B.S. in PSYCHOLOGY from LSU and helped to open their first infant study lab! GEAUX TIGERS! I graduated this year earning a M.S. in EARLY CHILDHOOD Studies with a concentration in Administration, Management and LEADERSHIP. I am DEDICATED to the importance of the early childhood field as an integral part of our evolving global society and SEEK a career that supports this vision. This is my JOURNEY towards TRANSFORMATIONAL CHANGE within early education.
